Built In-House

Furniture Quality Work, Made for Your Room

Most contractors order cabinets from a catalog. HomeCore Construction builds ours. Our cabinetmaker mills, joins and assembles cabinetry, doors and built-ins in our own Long Island shop, and the same team installs every piece.

That means real joinery like mortise and tenon and dovetails, profiles machined for your house, and pieces scribed to fit your walls. It is the difference you see in the finished kitchens, baths and closets on this site.

We build millwork for homes across Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Questions

Custom Millwork & Cabinetry FAQ

Do you really build cabinetry in-house?

Yes. HomeCore Construction builds cabinetry, doors, vanities and built-ins in our own Long Island shop, and the same team installs them. The photos on this page are from that shop.

What kinds of doors and cabinets can you build?

Inset, beaded face-frame and full-overlay cabinetry; raised panel, recessed panel and Shaker doors; and solid wood entry doors, French door units and Dutch doors.

Can you build just cabinets or a built-in without a full remodel?

Yes. We build and install stand-alone pieces like built-ins, mudroom lockers, vanities, wine storage and closets.

How is custom different from a catalog cabinet?

Custom pieces are built to your exact room, scribed to fit walls that are never perfectly straight, with the profiles, wood and finish you choose. Catalog cabinets come in fixed sizes with fillers to close the gaps.

What areas do you serve?

HomeCore Construction builds and installs millwork across Nassau and Suffolk counties, from Garden City and Rockville Centre to Bay Shore, Huntington and the East End.
