Why HomeCore Construction

Bathrooms Built Right Behind the Tile

A great bathroom is mostly what you never see: solid framing, plumbing in the right place, cement board and waterproofing done properly. HomeCore Construction takes the room to the studs when it needs it and builds it back the right way.

Then comes the part you do see: tile set flat and level, a custom vanity from our own shop, good lighting and clean trim. One team handles the whole job, so nothing falls between trades.

We remodel bathrooms across Suffolk County and guide homeowners through permits and inspections. Suffolk County Home Improvement License HI-74242.

Questions

Bathroom Remodeling FAQ

How long does a bathroom remodel take?

A full gut bath takes longer than a vanity and tile refresh, and tile work and waterproofing need time to cure properly. We give you a written schedule with your estimate, and we have fixtures and tile on site before demo so the room is not sitting open.

How do you waterproof a shower?

We board shower walls with cement board, like the USG Durock you can see in our bath story, and waterproof the wet areas before any tile goes up. Getting this layer right is what keeps a shower from leaking behind the tile years later.

Can you turn a tub into a walk-in shower?

Yes. We take out the tub, rework the drain and valve, frame any niche or half wall, waterproof, and tile a walk-in shower ready for glass.

Do you build custom vanities?

Yes. Vanities, linen cabinets and built-ins come from our own Long Island shop, so they fit your room exactly. We also install vanities you pick out.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

HomeCore Construction guides homeowners through permits and inspections, from filing to final sign off. Every Long Island town and village has its own building department and rules, so we check what your project needs before we price it, help with the paperwork, and meet the inspectors on site.

What areas do you serve?

HomeCore Construction remodels bathrooms across Suffolk County, from Bay Shore and Sayville to Huntington, Melville and the East End.
