Huntington Area
HomeCore Construction builds kitchens, baths, additions and custom homes across the Town of Huntington, including Northport and East Northport. Our cabinetry and millwork come from our own Long Island shop.
The main thing to know here is who issues your permit. Huntington is one town, but the Village of Northport runs its own Building Department, while East Northport and the unincorporated parts of the town go through Town Hall.
Permits
The Town of Huntington Building and Housing Division, part of the Department of Engineering Services, reviews plans, issues permits, inspects work as it goes, and issues certificates of occupancy. Applications go through the Town's online permit portal, and Town Code requires a permit to construct, alter, repair, modify or demolish a building.
In the Village of Northport, permits go through the Village Building Department at Village Hall, 224 Main Street, with the Village's own application and fee schedule. HomeCore Construction files in whichever office covers your house.

Questions
East Northport and the rest of unincorporated Huntington go through the Town of Huntington Building and Housing Division. The Village of Northport has its own Building Department at Village Hall.
