Areas We ServeA custom home and a second story addition in Bay Shore, with Town of Islip permits handled for you.
Bay Shore
HomeCore Construction has built in Bay Shore from the ground up. We built a new custom home on one lot, and right next door we added a full second story to a home, with three bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a bath and laundry, plus a new front porch and deck.
Many homes in neighborhoods like these started as capes and ranches. Going up with a second story is often the best way to add bedrooms without losing the yard, and it is work we know well.
Custom Home
Framed, sheathed and finished.

Permits
Bay Shore is in the Town of Islip. Building permits go through the Town of Islip Building Division at One Manitton Court in Islip, and applications are filed electronically through the Town's Planning and Development portal. Residential permit types include new dwellings, additions and decks over 18 inches.
For a new home, the Town asks for a recent sealed survey, a soil boring report, sealed plans and a separate plot plan. Work in the public right of way, like a new driveway apron or curb, needs a separate Public Works permit. HomeCore Construction handles all of it.

Bay Shore is in the Town of Islip, so permits go through the Town of Islip Building Division, and applications are filed electronically. HomeCore Construction handles all permit filing and inspections. Every Long Island town and village has its own building department and rules, so we check what your project needs before we price it, file the paperwork, and meet the inspectors on site.
The Town lists decks over 18 inches as a residential permit type. Most porches and raised decks need one, and we file it.
